6 - petals
As a teen, everyone go through such situation in which we feel like everyone is against us. And nobody is listening, no one is trying to understand. It feels like fighting an endless war against whole world in which silence is our weapon and there's - words!(the most powerful weapon on the earth). We get scolded by our elder ones. They all try to crush you in the words like - what should you have to say, What should you have to be, how to sit, how to behave in social events, you need to understand your responsibilities, need to understand what's happening around you, etc.
Feels like I grew up very suddenly. Feels like lost in a maze. Heart feels heavier than ever. Wanted to shout loudly but voice doesn't supports. Wanted to express feelings but mind doesn't supports. Wanted to act as I want to but body doesn't supports. But this is not the hardest thing we come across. After happening everything, pretending like everything is fine and 'I am happy' is very hard. It's hard to cover the wounds with the mask of happiness.
One day, I was so sad. And also very bored of listening to those things. I was just sitting next to a window. The weather was blue. Everything looked very dull. In this, a hibiscus flower catch my sight. When I looked at it, for a moment I felt like that flower is too staring at me. I got confused, cause the sun was almost hidden behind the clouds, every plant was sad(like me). But this flower! It was very captivating. For a moment I thought that the flower was blushing behind the deep green fleshy leaves. That was the only one Hibiscus flower on the whole herb. It was swinging with air. While observing it with cold eyes, I saw there were 6 petals to that angelic flower!
Again, I got confused. Because generally, a hibiscus flower have 5 petals. Then? After thinking on it, I came to know that even this glorious nature is not perfect, It always tries to bloom in its imperfections.
That day, a breathtaking flower taught me 'accept yourself as you are.' The whole world will try to squeeze you in the moulds of expectations. Everyone will judge you not on what you can but on what you can't. Nobody would like you to be a star in the sky. Let's go away from all these voices. Let's go away from all the glee's around us. Be who you are! Be what you want to be.• Let's take aim and put fire on the rain! •

ReplyDeleteWow Radhika! Beautiful... Not only your idea is unique, but also your presentation is so effective. Very thoughtful blog! Well I loved the way you wrote it, relating with your readers. Truly , all the teenagers go through this where we feel no one is with us (to listen or understand us) and we are expected to behave like adults at sudden. We have so many Internal Conflicts - but like you said , even nature isn't perfect - We need to accept us as we are, love ourself unconditionally because it isn't called imperfections, it's called uniqueness...
